This week we farewell Zig Ziglar, author of nearly 30 books and motivational speaker, who died on Wednesday 28 November, aged 86.
In the corporate world, “The Ziglar Way” segmented career paths and intertwined them with personal lives, a method which improved the way one lives. As Ziglar put it, “Lack of direction, not lack of time, is the problem. We all have twenty-four hour days.”
Below are some more of Zig’s most famous quotes:
1) “If you can dream it, you can achieve it.”
2) “Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.”
3) “A goal properly set is halfway reached.”
4) “If you go looking for a friend, you’re going to find they’re scarce. If you go out to be a friend, you’ll find them everywhere.”
5) “Expect the best. Prepare for the worst. Capitalize on what comes.”
6) “There has never been a statue erected to honor a critic.”
7) “People often say motivation doesn’t last. Neither does bathing—that’s why we recommend it daily.”
8) We all need a daily check up from the neck up to avoid stinkin 'thinkin' which ultimately leads to hardening of the attitudes
9) “You will get all you want in life, if you help enough other people get what they want.”
10) “Remember that failure is an event, not a person.”
11) "If you learn from defeat, you haven't really lost"
